Gang member convicted of attempted murder | visaliatimesdelta.com | Visalia Times-Delta and Tulare Advance-Register: "Jesus Anguiano of Visalia was convicted on Dec.15 of attempted murder along with the special allegations of personal use of a deadly weapon, causing great bodily injury, and committing the crime for the benefit of a criminal street gang, according to a report from the Tulare County District Attorney's office. Anguiano, 29, is scheduled to be sentenced on January 12, 2011.
On January 13, 2010, Anguiano entered the Sports Zone Bar just before 11 p.m. While at the Sports Zone, Anguiano met up with a number of fellow gang members.Only one person in the bar was affiliated with a rival gang,acording to the report. Within ten minutes of arrival, the defendant calmly and discretely walked across the bar and stabbed the rival gang member three to four times in the back of the neck."
