Double shooting in Coquitlam targeted gangster

Double shooting in Coquitlam targeted gangster: "gangster who recently returned to B.C. after two years in Iran was in a car targeted by gunmen in Coquitlam early Friday morning.
Sahand Askari, 26, was not injured in the shooting on Clarke Road about 4:20 a.m.
But his business associate Daniel Lovric, 28, was hit several times, as was Igor Uijar, also 28.
RCMP Sgt. Peter Thiessen said the three men in the vehicle drove to the Coquitlam RCMP detachment looking for help. The two injured men were then taken to a local hospital.
“The two men were hit multiple times,” RCMP Sgt. Peter Thiessen said. “They are lucky to be alive.”
Thiessen said investigators believe the shooting was targeted."
